PRODUCTIVITY: AIRMAN MXP 252 has one of the best productivity rates (3rd place in rating). There are two more compressors that have absolutely the same productivity: these are MEGAPOWER – 0310.001 and BERKUT ANT-626. You should mention that despite having such specifications AIRMAN MXP 252 differs from the others by his small size and weight, what is very comfortable.

Warranty period: 3 yearsTEST RESULTSSPICIFICATIONS: One year ago among Compressors Test participants we had BERKUT AHT-626; on the base of this very compressor a more sophisticated version – Berkut R15 - was developed. So what has changed since then? The brass tip was changed to a fastly removed fully metallic tip. The usage of this tip has significantly minimized the air losses, during removing of the air hose from the tire valve stem. By the way a deflator was built into the fastly removed tip. It helps to decrease the pressure in the tire down to the necessary value when it is needed.
The design has also been changed. Now BERKUT compressors are painted bright orange light-reflecting paint. So, now the compressor can also be used as an “emergency stop sign” during the dark period of the day, if there is no special sign in your car, of course.
A real break-trough is at “atm” scale gauge coming together with R15, which is easy-to-understand by all Russian car owners. The “psi” scale has also been left, what is very important for the owners of foreign cars. BERKUT compressor’s gauge has a damping device that ensures the correct values of pressure measurement (no “dancing indicator” effect) and a very little error.
The compressor’s mechanism is protected from an over-heat by a special anti-heat-protection system.
Thanks to a high quality of BERKUT AHT-626 and almost no returns of the new BERKUT R15 model, the warranty period was increased to 36 months.
IN general the compressor is compact enough and doesn’t weight much. It is connected to the car’s electrical system through a cigarette lighter. You can see a little plastic capsule on the power cord; this is a 15-ampere fuse.

You really may make such parallels thanks to the ribs on the compressor’s cylinder, making it look like an internal-combustion engine. The designers made everything they could to ensure a long working period of the compressor, what you may understand from a really little temperature increasing of the compressor even after 8-10 minutes of work (and all this is during the work under the pressure). This is an absolutely universal pump compressor. AHT-686L was designed certainly not for lying in “Zhiguly”’s (Russian car brand) boot. BERKUT is a hard working horse, oriented on real jeepers fond of adventures on impassable roads and extreme sports. AHT-686 will satisfy their needs perfectly. It could fastly inflate an airboat or air catamaran and increase the air pressure in even an absolutely dead tire. The compressor can be used for airgraphics and anticorossion works, because of its enormous productivity – 72 liters per minute.
No, this one is certainly not for “Zhiguly”s. The compressors differ from the others by its rather big mass and size. There is a comfortable big handle, covered by a soft very touch-friendly material, which would protect your fingers from a freezing metal during cold withers. There are three different adaptors for inflating air-boats, mattresses, balls. Everyone liked the water resistant big and quality carry bag, additional pocket used for storage of other set accessories. The length of curved hose (7.5 m) enables the work in rather a long distance from the compressor. The gauge is right on the hose. Deflator makes the compressor even more comfortable. It allows you to decrease the pressure till the necessary value. Special filter will help to increase the lifetime of the compressor.
PRODUCTIVITY: BERKUT AHT-686L is a productivity and pressure champion among all the compressors. The compressor has inflated the 185/65 R14 tire within 1 minute till 2 atm. and within 3 minutes till 3.5 atm. – No comments! But all this is nothing comparing with what BERKUT AHT-686L can really do. Just think about its maximum pressure of 12 (!) atm,
We should also mention that BERKUT AHT-686L can work longer than any other compressor: its continuous operating time is 40 min. (at 23?C.). The fact that the compressor having such an enormous productivity only gives a little noise is also appreciated.

DEFFICIENCY: only one – high price
COMMON MARK:the compressor’s priority is a hard job – inflating big sized tires of the tracks, minibuses and heavy jeeps. And that is logical because its maximum pressure is 12 atm. The productivity should be enough even for tough jeepers. In the conditions of broken grounds, when marshlands come after hard grounds, drivers have to decrease the pressure in the tires and increase it back continuously. In these very conditions compressor does its job very well. The only competitor here could be a car’s centralized air inflation system. BERKUT can also be recommended for airgraphics. To say in one word BERKUT AHT-686L is a serious item and its capabilities cost its price. MEGAPOWER DOUBLE CYLINDER Car pump compressor

PRODUCTIVITY: yes, you’ve heard us right – here you’ve got a double-cylinder compressor. Among heavy weights BERKUT AHT-686L seems to be equal to MEGAPOWER. But the productivity of one-cylinder BERKUT is bigger than it is in double-cylinder MEGAPOWER. So what is the advantage of a double-cylinder construction? The point is that the usage of two cylinders having lesser diameter allowed decreasing the number of rotations of the engine. So, here is the advantage – increasing of the compressors’ resource.
There are such cute details as little hole on the compressor’s body. It could perfectly be used for storing different kinds of little details – valves, caps etc.
As far as current value necessary for working is not very big the compressor can be connected right to the accumulator using special “crocodile” clamps. Except three different adaptors used for inflating all kinds of balls, boats and mattresses, there is a spare 30-ampere fuse. The deflator can also be count as an advantage.
PRODUCTIVITY: MEGAPOWER DOUBLE CYLINDER is coming from a different weight (and price) category. The productivity of the compressor is one of the biggest in the test (2nd place in rating). But we should add that it would not be correct to compare this compressor with all the others.

COMMON MARK: field of usage – inflation of big value tires of minibuses, jeeps and trucks. Using this compressor with cars doesn’t seem to be very expedient. This compressor takes too much place, and costs a nice amount of money.
