The Middle East's Leading Automotive Aftermarket Event
|
Automechanika Gulf is the event for the rapidly developing automotive aftermarket in the Middle East. The event covers the full range of parts for motor vehicles, as well as components for the drive, chassis, body, electrics and electronic groups, equipment for vehicle service and repair, bodywork repair and painting, tyres, batteries and performance systems.
 
THE 2005 EVENTIn 2005 the event attracted over 5,000 trade visitors from the Arabian Gulf States, Middle East, North Africa, Iran, The Indian Sub Continent and the Caspian and Black Sea States.  
The May 2004 show hosted an impressive range of exhibitors from over 30 countries including Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Greece, France, Peru, Slovenia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, China, Taiwan, Brazil, Iran, Singapore, Korea, Tunisia, South Africa, Hong Kong, Argentina, Kuwait, Australia, and Denmark.
 
A total of 5492 quality visitors attended from throughout the whole region. The Emirate of Dubai accounted for 18% of the visitors with a further 9% from Abu Dhabi and 12% from Sharjah. Visitors from Saudi Arabia represented 9% of the total audience and the remaining Gulf States of Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait made up over 17% of the visitors.
 
The event also attracted visitors from other Middle Eastern countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Turkey and Iraq who made up just over 6% of the audience along with Iranian visitors who alone made up over 6% of the attendance. The Indian Sub Continent represented 4% of the total visitors and a good selection of
the remaining visitors came from Africa (5%) and the Caspian and Black Sea States (3%).
The show attracted a high quality buying audience of whom 52% were either senior company directors or owners. Garages and service centers made up a total of 30% of the attendees and over 44% of the visitors were either dealers or retailers of auto parts/accessories.
